The southern assassin disengages from OLYE and runs SE.
Icarus runs to keep up with the assassin. Luna moves up and double rends the northern assassin for 6 and 11 slashing damage. The Northern assassin drops his weapon in surrender. Koda runs south and casts Command ordering the assassin to approach, then casts Firebolt, hitting him for 10 damage. The last remaining assassin runs to Koda and surrenders. We find 150 gp, 3 sets of swords, crossbows, poisons, and antitoxins.
1 Mar 2026, 3/24/753 ATC
The guards show up late, as usual, and happily take the prisoners. Dame Mira is eager to continue so as not to be late.
We arrive at our destination and the guards take us down a long open hallway to the main meeting room.
Each elector has their own bodyguards. The meeting passes without further incident and we return Dame Mira to her home. The meeting had about a dozen principal participants and their retinues. We return to our rooms.
3/25/753 ATC
After a night's sleep. At noon, Icarus receives a missive from the 10, saying meet me at the Gearmarket in 2 hours. Rather than taking a boat, we simply walk.
We arrive at the bazaar market where all sorts of clockwork and tinker toys [are sold?], to meet Pip. Pip approaches disguised as a commoner. He slips us our pay, plus the additional platinum to pay his bribe for information about the Clockwork Cabal's plans.
After we meet Elle, the cute gnome reporter who buys Luna a pint, she reintroduces us to Bronslaw Spytek who tells us something else is happening in the cistern and wants us to investigate. He opens his hand and shows us a cog, saying that the Iron Crows are down there doing something involving cogs. Elle insists she comes along.
We enter the cistern; the water is pristine. Bronslaw and Elle are with us, and Bronslaw is leading. We come across a small alcove with a desk used by the water guild. Continuing on, we pass a statue or shrine with pristine drinking water flowing from it. As we continue on, the terrain changes and Bronslaw says this is as far as he goes. Elle continues on with us.
Mickey discovers a trapped door and Icarus orders OLYE to move a line, triggering a trap causing a loud bang dealing 7 force damage. Anyone down here would have heard us.
Rather than continue with these two doors, we move south and find another door. Mickey uses Mage Hand to hold his lantern while he uses his thieves' tools to unlock the door. Mickey opens the door and finds 4 of the 5 Shards of Magic we were looking for. Icarus and Mickey begin investigating and determine this is not a completed device. Icarus puts all 4 into his bag of holding. Mickey finds a cog on the ground — the Clockwork Cabal. One of the doors opens and a mechanical dog runs out attacking...
