A week passes with no additional information about the heist. We know it was Clockwork Cabal, but not much else.

We find ourselves at the courtyard of the Sun as well as a very large crowd, for the Spring Equinox, the Feast of the Star Guardians. Bithany is with us and focusing on trying to relax during the festival. Luna begins to look for wine from a vendor and out of the corner of her eye sees an assassin loading a crossbow and takes aim at Mira Sapięha, one of the individuals who will be selecting the new Duke.

The assassin shoots Mira once, hitting her and injuring her severely, but misses on his next attack.

Luna immediately runs to Mira’s aid, however, two individuals in the crowd try to impede her trying to grapple her; both fail. Luna casts Cure Wounds restoring 11 hp to Mira. Mira teleports over to Bithany, then proceeds to run away. Koda attacks one of the thugs that tried to impair Luna and misses. I'carus steps away from the thug standing next to him, attacking him with his bow for 11 dmg. O.L.E.Y. stands in I'carus’s space attacking the thug but misses. Mickey casts Jump on himself and jumps over the crowd toward the assassin. Mickey then Thorn Whips the assassin for 4 damage pulling him closer. One thug next to Luna attacks but misses. The assassin shoots Mickey through his Shield spell for 27 damage, then dashes away. Another thug attacks Koda, O.L.E.Y. attempts to interpose, but still hits for 8 damage. Luna leaves the fight with the thugs, one attacks but misses. Luna dashes to catch up with the assassin. Nyx flies above, covering the temple library the assassin dashed into.

Koda swings hitting a thug with both shillelagh and booming blade for 22 damage. Mira casts Mage Armor and continues running away. Bithany runs to keep up with Mira.

I'carus has O.L.E.Y hit a thug for 11 non-lethal force damage. I'carus then shoots the thug in his knee for 10 dmg. I'carus then shoots the thug in his knee for 10 damage. Mickey runs forward casting Hold Person on someone in the alley to the north. A thug runs away from Koda triggering Booming Blade for 13 damage and another attack from Koda for 19 damage, knocking him out.

The assassin dashes away.

The last thug drops his weapon in surrender. The assassin sadly escapes. Nyx noticed a pin dropped by the assassin with a symbol or emblem.

I'carus recognizes the pin as used by a group called the Iron Veil, a Toresta for Torestans anti-alien group.
