Thermal vines

Thermal vines are a type of technology developed by the engineers of Dunehaven in order to reduce the effect of violent sandstorms in the heights of 400 meters and above.
Metal pipes are found in the canyon in which Dunehave resides in. during sandstorms lava is pumped through them and causes the ground in the canyon to heat. this causes a thermal inversion in the surrounding air, and negates most of the effects of such sandstorms at height of 400 meters and above. during the activation of the metal pipes it is ill advised to enter the canyon - as during especially violent weather, the combination of heat and wind may cause glass sandstorms. the activation of the pipes in noticeable by smell and by the steam.
