Sphinx

Sphinxes are a group of intelligent, immortal, magical beasts that encompass either several subspecies or several extremely polymorphic sexes; this article refers to different subspecies. Sphinxes are the stuff of legends, known for their vast knowledge and fondness of riddles, though not all sphinxes share these characteristics.
All sphinxes are territorial, but the more intelligent ones can differentiate between deliberate intrusion and temporary or inadvertent trespass.

Basic Information

Anatomy

All sphinxes had leonine bodies with great feathery wings, and are all, generally speaking, the same size; they may otherwise vary in appearance. The most distinctive difference between different subspecies the sphinx's head, which can be animalistic or human-like; sphinxes with human-like heads further differ by sex.
