Nash
"Nash" or "Not Ash" is the name given to the entity formed by the possession of the physical body of Ash by The Void Entity, or some aspect or emissary of it.
Nash came into being within the town of Amberbark Village after Ash was lured into a trap set in the spirit realm. Separated from his body and confined to the spirit realm, The Void Entity took control of Ash in some way, and piloted his body to meet his own ends.
Nash, in the guise of Ash, misled his companions into pursuing the whereabouts of Évêque Gaspar Nurest, and upon finding him attempted to kill him using Ash's druidic powers to cause a cave-in, and in failing that assassinated his spirit. He conspired with Sage Brutar, the spiritual leader of Amberbark Village, to end his physical life and ultimately dismiss the Évêque's demise, before abandoning the party under the pretense of diverging interests and priorities.
Upon the escape of Ash from The Void Entity's domain, and into the shared physical body of Bartleby (forming the entity known as Bartlebash), Nash redirected once more to track down Ash and seek to eliminate both of them. Tracking them to the depths of Tìodhlaiceadh Uamh, Nash tried to pass himself off as the returning Ash to the rest of the party, unaware of the situation Ash found himself in, nor the group's awareness of it. Instead, Nash was led into a trap designed to allow Cumadair Sorcha to restore Ash's body to its rightful owner.
While Bartlebash was killed during the ensuing conflict, the intervention of La Faucheuse allowed an unexpected return to the mortal plane for the pair of them, and the ritual was successfully completed. Nash was banished from Ash's body, and sent back into the spirit realm. Ash reclaimed his body, and Bartleby was left alone once more inside his head.
