The Whitebeam Isles

The whitebeam Isles are a part of the rootways very few visit, and even fewer understand. This is an archipeligo of islands that float above the clouds, held together in the sky by the powers of the godess of change and flux. the islands are constantly moving through the sky, and changing shape and size as they do, and they are often called the flying family by the general person in the rootways.

Geography

there are 9 Islands in the Whitebeam Isles, with one central island containing the whitebeam tree growing tall into the sky. and then a ring of 3 islands in that change shape and size, but always have similar features of a river that connects them, and the water travels as though there is ground even where there isnt any to hold it into the shape of the river. between theese isles is a mist of various colours, almost phasing through the visible light spectrum. also upon the islands grow hundreds of Iris flowers, as a representaion of the goddess that inhabits the islands. then the final 7 islands are a little smaller and more spread out, they change orientation with eachother often and dont have a specific thing that connects them really, beyond the gardens planted throiughout them by the gardener goddess of change.

Localized Phenomena

the islands float in the skies, carried by the mists of change, and whenever the isles pass over a place, hundreds of flowerpetals slowly fall from them and fly across the skies spreading the beauty of the goddesses gardens.

as well as this gravity and other constant forces in the world often lose their power while amoung the sister islands.

Fauna & Flora

The main flora are Iris flowers, as well as the grand whitebeam tree on the center island, however a myriad of flowers that represent change, growth and also connection are grown here. there is no natural fauna here except for Butterflies and Moths, as the goddess who resides here attracts those beings.

History

These islands were created from different people's wishes, her sister nymphs of the world and their domains. she changed these things into islands that could inhabit the wishes of the nymths that were guardians of different biomes of the world, which then flew into the air and become part of the whitebeam isles, where the goddess now lives. few know of her reisdence here, since she simply changes form, or location whenever someone visits, or she allows one of nymphs that reside there also greet the guest, and eventually send them on their way.
