The Students Leigon

Origins

The Students Leigon (TSL) began as essentially Prefects at the Palace of Blackthorn study halls. it was a small group of older students entrusted with making sure everyone was safe while on campus, they were particularly well known for being very effective for breaking up fights and solving lost staff/wand cases at the school. however as the organisation grew, and many of the students were no longer students, the TSL grew beyond the school in scope of missions they would take on, unfortunatly not so in their training, which has lead to many an older member (around 22) dying in battle across the rootways, or from falling off cliffs or similar.

Members

The most well known members are the founders of the organisation, and the current leaders of the Factions within the TSL.

The Founders were:

Rose Galdeen (36, female, founder and stratergist of the TSL)

Saphie Leige (35, Non-Binary, Founder and Treaurer of the TSL)

Jack Maldros (25, Male, Deceased, Founder of the TSL)

and the current Faction Leaders are:

James Maldros (24, Male, Leader of the Desert branch of the TSL)

Glint Vitri (18, Non-Binary, Leader of the Tundra branch of the TSL)

Amy Sighs (19, Female, Leader of the Forest branch of the TSL)

each of the factions have thier own main territory that they operate, being hot, cold, and temperate climates respectively.

Activities & Exploits

The Desert Branch of the TSL has people send on missions to guide people through the desert reigons of the world, and also have members dedicated to taking care of the local wildlife & gathering food and water for the locals in that area.

The Tundra Branch of the TSL Sends out explorers to the deepest reaches of the mountainous areas of the world, and also will go and attempt to keep passageways clear for other people to continue using the routes to reach the shrines and towns that are only accsessable via mountain paths.

The Forest Branch of the TSL aim to Map the Dense Central Forests, and keep an eye on wildlife in the area as much of it can be dangerous to the unexperienced traveller or forager, creating guides for civilains to work from to stay safe in the temperate reigons of the Rootways.

unfortunatley no matter the branch, the skills within their plans scope, are truely not met by its participants. as many of the "soldiers" are scholars and students, only a select few are actually capable of actually completing a mission, and then surviving to tell the tale. its not uncommon for stories to go around of the desert TSL attempting to make paths through the sands to an oasis - but the oasis is not only a mirage and disappears when they get close, but as does the path as the sand dunes blow over it again and again. or in the tundra the efforts to keep paths open in the moutains tends to be at the expense of lots of magic, or lots of physical materials that then are needed elsewhere and the pass collapses again and again. and then in the forest everyone is pretty sure that most of the members created the book of mushrooms, by tasting them all first, and then just dealing with those consequenses later.

overall the general populace doesnt really trust them to do much of anything, but in a time of great crisis everybody hopes that maybe they will find the strength and smarts to actually be useful. but no one holds that much hope for this particular group.

Base Camp

The TSL Base Camp is called the Students Lounge, and there is one in each reigon. one in the Palace of Blackthorn where the Forest TSL operates, one up in Pine Ridge for the Tundra Branch, and one in the Mesquite Masa for the desert branch.
