Icefruit

Appearence

The Icefruit is a small berry, growing in long and thin icicle esc shapes. growing on dark brown vines, almost as though the fruit that this vine produces is a warning compared to its vines. theese fruit appear during the summer, however in the winter and spring the vines flower a dark blue with 4 simple petals. when the fruit are removed from the vine, the fruit almsot begin to melt away almsot like ice itself. and in the autumn when the fruit all fall to the ground, they quickly melt away and dissapear

Taste & Texture

The taste of the icefruit is rather acidic (reminicent of an IRL pineapple) however sweet overpowering sweetness as they are full of sugars. thsi leads them to be rather addictive and also a very very good additon to an alcholic drink as a garnish to be the final ingredient that melts into the drink. the texture is rather watery (reminicent of a cucumber or watermelon) and smooth, and also particularly cold. which also makes this fruit very popular for ice cream, as the liquid nature and cool properties cause it to enhance the texture of ice cream to be a little more smooth and easy to eat.

Locals

The icefruit grows pretty much exclusively in warm desert caves. though it can be grown in other suitably warm dark places such as cellars, or greenhouses in a darkened box. this is due to when the sun hits the flowers of the Icefruit vine, they lose the ability to grow into full fruit, as the light denatures some of the growth hormones the plant uses.
