Optional: Splice Streamer

Splice Streamers are a kind of digital entertainer that hijacks the data streams of Courier vessels of the Galactic Surveyor's Guild and other interstellar ogranizations. This hijacked stream takes the form of a specialized computer virus that propagates certain content (in this case, a splice streamer's video) onboard a courier vessel's data storage and then upon jumping to a new destination transmits that video throughout the system, and to other suspected courier vessels. Splice streamers are considered a major nuissance by interstellar data carriers, and organizations attempting to keep splice streamers from hijacking their transmissions have adopted increasingly hostile ICE to prevent breakins. Splice Streamers typically develop elaborate personas, and almost always adopt a holographic avatar, both in order to heighten their performance, but also to frequently to protect their identities. Despite the issues they cause, Splice Streaming is a highly popular form of entertainment, especially for younger members of society, and indeed many children aspire to become splice streamers when they grow up.

Game Rules

Splice Streamers are a variant Assignment for the Entertainer career, which can be selected if the Refree allows it. It offers the following changes from the core Entertainer.
