Broccoli
Please note that the story is far from complete. We aim to add or take away some plot beats and expand those we will keep. This article is simply to note what we have.
Plot points/Scenes
Please note that the order and plot ideas are not final. Many more chapters after the time skip are also being planned so certain events are less abrupt and odd.
The Scandal of '49
After her murder of another god, the goddess of broccoli, Brassica Oleracea, was discovered by the god of sealing, Shou, had her powers sealed away, had her memory wiped, and was sent to a mortal world in order to keep her from causing any more harm than she already did. In order to keep an eye on her, Shou followed the goddess to the mortal world in order to keep an eye on her and seal her further should she remember anything about her godly life or do anything dangerous. He also bound his mortal body to hers so he could quickly end her time on that mortal world if anything went wrong.
The People of the Woodland
In a quiet grove, a species called the Bradacalli finds their main food source, broccoli, dying out. After trying everything to make their food supply stable once more, eyes fall upon the cleric, Destiny, to regain the goddess's favor. Believing the goddess wants something that the Bradacalli have not given her, Destiny sets out to find such a thing. After weeks of searching, Destiny finds a woman who has the same appearance as the goddess. It becomes Destiny's goal to sacrifice this woman in order for her Brassica Oleracea's appearance to remain her own.

A teenage girl named Rosie sits at her desk, questioning her life choices and her own emotions after committing a crime.
A Writer's Guide to Avoiding the Police
Rosie talks to her writer friend at lunch, asking questions about getting away with crimes 'for a story she's writing'. The writer friend is so excited to finally be able to freely speak about their passion for writing mystery and thriller stories that they happily answer Rosie's question's without any questions.
Bathroom Banquet
A chapter purely for comedic effect. Based off of the fact that it's disturbingly common to find food (EX: apples, milk, licorice, ketchup, et cetera) in high school bathrooms, this chapter has Rosie enter a bathroom stall at her school to find a banquet. It is, at present, a comedic chapter, but it may gain plot relevance later on when the story is more developed.
Normal Conversations
Meant to better characterize the main character, Rosie, she has a completely normal and grounded conversation (It is neither normal or grounded).

A short update on Destiny and her antics.
A Normal Day in the Life of Rosie Magellan
The original short story written by BucketofBugz that started the plotting of Broccoli through its incredible comedic value.
After a time skip of at least four years (an exact number has not yet been determined), Rosie's husband, Harold, arrives home with groceries. While unpacking, Rosie asks if Harold picked up any broccoli while he was out, for there was an amazing sale on the leafy green today. As Harold attempted to protest about how neither of them even liked broccoli, Rosie grabbed her wallet, ran out the door, got in her car, and began to speed to the grocery store so she wouldn't miss out of those sweet deals (They lasted the whole week and this was the first day of the sale). On her way there, she was pulled over by a police officer, Jefferson, for speeding. He did not give her a speeding ticket, however, but instead hopped in the car and went to the grocery store with Rosie. They bought far too much broccoli and returned home. Rosie hid the broccoli from Harold until she had eaten it all, for her love for broccoli was a well-kept secret she indulged in with Jefferson. This time, however, she could not help but keep some around.

Based off another short story written by BucketofBugz from when we thought this would be a collection of only the most ridiculous short stories we could think of.
Rosie and Harold eat at a restaurant, and a bit more about their relationship and their characterization is revealed.
[Currently Untitled TV show made up for the story]
Rosie and Harold watch an old TV show from their childhoods. After their ideas of the show are stated, the news comes on with details of a recent robbery resulting in multiple deaths, although the perpetrators are a complete mystery. Rosie and Jefferson are noted to be the perpetrators through Rosie's internal narration.
The Fire in our Hearts
Rosie and Jefferson are on a date around a bonfire. They are both cheating on their spouses (please do not attempt).
So You're a Cosplayer?
While Rosie and Harold are out, a woman, Stars, approaches Harold, introduces herself as Stars, goddess of talismans, and asks him if he's Shou. After a colloquial back and forth, Harold deduces that Stars is a cosplayer, and Stars leaves, apologizing for mistaking Harold with someone else.

Rosie breaks up with Jefferson. They leave on a mutual 'let's pretend we don't know each other and have no hard feelings'. A while before this, Rosie and Jefferson have stopped committing crimes together.
Harold's Chapter
Deciding he wishes to speak with her about something he does not want to talk about in their home, Harold invites Rosie to the perfect talking place: a secluded back alley guarded by machines of the gods. While waiting for Rosie, one of the machines malfunctions, bestowing Harold with a curse that he will bleed out in exactly one hour if he is not given the antidote in time. Said machine immediately returns to its place and powers down. Rosie finds him just two minutes later.
The Moment That Never Ends
An actually finished chapter! The chapter goes as follows:
"You thought this was going to be long, didn't you? Well, some moments speak such a title."
Don't Perish on Me
Rosie monologues about how she couldn't bear to lose Harold as Harold attempts to instruct her on how to obtain the antidote, but to no avail. He perishes and Rosie spontaneously combusts, for her mortal form cannot exist without Harold's.

Destiny, the narrator of the entire book minus The Scandal of '49, watches the scene and returns back home, happy with the outcome, especially since she didn't have to lift a finger. She is, however, a tad upset that nothing remains. The Bradacalli's food source is revitalized, and they have a happy ending.
