Confirming oji
"Without further ado, the president of ISA, Alexandra Liao."
"Thank you, honoured seeker. It is with great pride that I am here today to announce that the International Space Agency has confirmed I-256-oji-548594, or oji henceforth, to be a suitable star for Earth. With only minimal course correction we can arrive in less than a millennium and be taken directly into orbit in the habitable zone. The second announcement I am to make is that thanks to the work of the seekers we can confirm that the planet currently orbiting oji in the habitable zone is sterile, but with an atmospheric composition that is very close to that which we need.
I do not need to say this, but thanks to the technological advancements in the past century we do not have the direct need to either stay on Earth or move to this new planet. Therefor the decision has been made to use the habitable planet of oji as a testbed for terraforming while Earth is in transit."
This article is part of an effort to bring stories of the antediluvian to my readers. Note that the information/lore is not going to be discussed in other articles unless it is available to the inhabitants of the distorted lands.
