Deron Zelts
Supreme Commander Deron Ferodius Zelts (a.k.a. Firebrand, Thunderbolt,)
For too long have we been cast aside by the governments that sent us to fight in wars that we bled and sacrificed in, but now we shall show them that we shall no longer scrounge in the gutters that they left us in. Now is the time to rise. - Deron ZeltsIt has been decades since the Shadow Wars came to an end but even now its memory still lingers in the minds of all who fought in it leaving its own shadow cast over them. Many veterans were honored for their sacrifice in the war and others not so much, Deron Zelts was one of them. It was from this fact that he started his own war in helping create one of the most dangerous forces in world, the Geo Liberation Army that terrorizes a continent even now.

Cast Into Fire
Deron Kelts lived an ordinary life, or so he believed, growing up in the Republic of Edorn within a middle-class family of mechanics. From his parents, he learned honesty, discipline, and the importance of fairness, values that shaped him into a devoted son and loyal friend.Yet Deron never intended to follow in their footsteps. Instead, he found himself drawn to academics, particularly history and science. From a young age, he dreamed of becoming an engineer, someone who could build, improve, and shape the world into something better. Those dreams ended with the outbreak of the Shadow Wars. As he reached adulthood, Deron was drafted into military service as a combat engineer when Edorn reluctantly joined the conflict. He was sent across the war-torn theaters of Aerostes and Canganar, where he witnessed firsthand the brutality and chaos of modern warfare. In the field, survival depended on ingenuity. Coalition forces were often outmatched by the superior strength of the Drescan Empire, suffering from poor equipment and incompetent leadership. Deron quickly became indispensable, working tirelessly to repair vehicles, weapons, and equipment under active combat conditions. More than once, he found himself fending off enemy forces while patching together failing machinery just to keep his comrades alive. His speed and effectiveness earned him a reputation among the soldiers, who began calling him Thunderbolt. The name reflected not only his quick repairs under fire, but also his tendency to modify weapons to increase their lethality and reliability. But such resilience came at a cost. Deron was wounded numerous times, struck by shrapnel, grazed by bullets, and burned in explosions. Each time, he returned to the front as soon as he was able, unwilling to abandon those who depended on him. His efforts did not go unnoticed. He rose steadily through the ranks, eventually forming his own combat engineer division tasked with supporting frontline operations and adapting equipment in real time. However, his success often brought him into conflict with his superiors. Deron frequently clashed with fellow officers over the misuse of resources and poor strategic decisions. While he occasionally convinced them with his reasoning, he often found himself quietly altering orders in the field to ensure the survival of his men. By the time he reached the continent of Canganar, Deron had risen to the rank of captain and served with distinction in the final years of the war.His final act of courage came during the Helphir Offensive. With coalition forces pinned down by a heavily fortified enemy position, Deron took matters into his own hands. He rigged a cargo transport with explosives and drove it directly into the enemy stronghold, breaking their defenses and allowing coalition forces to advance. The victory came at a devastating cost. Caught in the blast and ensuing enemy fire, Deron lost his right hand and suffered severe injuries. He was evacuated and remained hospitalized until the war’s end. When he finally recovered, he was fitted with a Cybernetics hand and honorably discharged from service. At last, he returned home, but the war had not left him.Lingering Burns
Deron Kelts was not the same man who had left for war, civilian life felt distant and hollow, and his outlook on the world had fundamentally changed. Despite his years of service, neither the Edorn government nor its citizens showed much acknowledgment or gratitude for what he, and others like him, had endured. The war had been fought far away, for most, it had never truly existed. For Deron, it never ended as he attempted to rebuild his life, seeking to return to academia and pursue his old dreams, but the psychological scars of war made it impossible, struggling with lingering trauma, he failed to gain acceptance into university and instead returned to work at his parents’ mechanic shop for several years. It was there that he began to notice a troubling pattern, veterans, men and women who had fought and bled for their countries, were being ignored. Many struggled without support, without recognition, and without hope, Deron refused to accept it. He joined protests, marching alongside fellow veterans to demand accountability from the government and over time, he became a leading voice in the movement, gaining a loyal following among those who had been left behind. From this, he founded the Soldiers of Burden, a political group dedicated to securing benefits and recognition for former soldiers. For years, Deron pursued change through peaceful means, but nothing came of it, the public remained indifferent, politicians redirected funding elsewhere, since the war had never reached the continent of Geo, many citizens saw its consequences as someone else’s problem as frustration turned to anger, Deron and his followers were arrested multiple times, their protests suppressed with increasing force, as he reached out to similar groups across Geo, he discovered that this neglect was not isolated it was widespread. Together, they organized mass demonstrations across multiple nations, the response was brutal, protestors were arrested, some were killed. It was in this moment that something within Deron finally broke, he no longer believed reform was possible, he no longer believed the system could be fixed. In his eyes, it had to be destroyed and from the shadows, he called upon the abandoned, the forgotten, and the betrayed to rise up against the governments that had cast them aside and this time they answered.A New War
The call to arms spread swiftly and silently with veterans from across the continent of Geo began to gather once more, taking up arms and preparing for a different kind of war. This would not be a conflict of nations, but of people of those abandoned versus those in power, its leaders meeting in secret, forming a unified command with Deron at its center. From these meetings, the Geo Liberation Front was born, under Deron’s leadership as Supreme Commander, the movement evolved from scattered resistance into a coordinated insurgency. Their first objective was clear, strike where the system was weakest. That target was the city-state of Arno. Corrupt, politically isolated, and militarily vulnerable, Arno became the proving ground for their revolution. Through a combination of sabotage, coordinated assaults, and insider support, the Geo Liberation Front seized control of the city, for the first time, they held territory. For the first time, they were more than a movement, they were a force, but their actions did not go unnoticed, the governments of Geo, slow to react at first, now moved to crush the uprising before it could spread, yet Deron understood their weakness he had seen it before on the battlefield, disorganization, complacency, and underestimation. They believed this was a rebellion, Deron knew it was a war. Following the capture of Arno, he delivered a broadcast across the continent of his Geo Liberation Speech. It was a rallying cry to the disillusioned, the betrayed, and the forgotten soldiers of every nation. The message spread like wildfire, recruits flooded into the Geo Liberation Front, veterans trained civilians, engineers built weapons from industry. Entire regions began to destabilize as unrest grew into open defiance. What began as protest had become revolution, what began as neglect had become fire and now, the continent of Geo stood on the brink of total war, one not fought for borders or power, but for vengeance. The fighting continues to this day as the continent is engulfed into total war as the Geo Liberation Army wages wars on all nations on Geo under the command of Deron, yet despite his good intentions, his methods have been seen of that of a warlord seizing power as governments fall and replaced with military occupation. Each retaliation strengthened his resolve as he continues crusade of riding the continent of its false leaders. Along with various war crimes, civilian losses and a massive refugee crisis as he leads his Rogue Army into endless conquest. To some, Deron Kelts is a hero, a man who refused to let the forgotten remain forgotten. To others, he was something far more dangerous, a man who had been cast into fire and came back determined to burn the world that had abandoned him.
