Infernal Shield

Infernal shields are made by priests, sorcerers or traded from Demonic smiths. They are dedicated purely for battle, to provide defense and offense both.

Infernal shields have a Demon beast sealed within them. Because of this they have personality, they are spiteful and angry things that cooperate only begrudgingly with their weilder and utterly despise anybody attacking them. The shield can bite with its fanged maw or spew forth flames in response to being hit by an attacker.

Infernal shields have limited uses a day; while every use is impactful they are a limited resource.

Appearance

Infernal shields are brass shields carved in the shape of a snarling demon face or the face of a beast. The eyes on the shield seem to move to track nearby creatures, and if it is hit the shield comes to life and tries to bite the attacker.
