    Purpose / Function

Built originally as a brothel, the place had to go through a change in business model once the Empire and its stringent laws came into power. It is an inn and tavern of some repute, now.

    Design

Classically simple Stilton Head lines and design, the building is meant to wash away in the case of a massive flood of the River Whitten. That has not happened in a very long time, however, and people have gotten very bold about it.

    Entries

The carved wood of the entryways is an impressive beginning to a comfortable and cozy stay.

    Sensory & Appearance

The entire place smells of incense and high grade patchouli oil. There is almost always the low murmur of spoken word poetry going on.

    Denizens

Bearded sailors that habitually wear turtlenecks and snap their fingers in praise. These are coffee loving poets and folk-musicians who shop in thrift stores not because they do not have money, but because it is what is fashionable.

    Contents & Furnishings

The furnishings and art are all carefully chosen so at to not seem ostentatious, but to thos in-the-know, some of the hand-made couches are worth more than many of the cabins erected throughout the city.

    Valuables

The furnishings are hand-made Stilton-era masterpieces that have been refinished and reupholstered to look brand new. They are worth a lot of money, as is the art work and statuary strewn about the place.

    Special Properties

NOTE: The aromatherapy throughout the establishment subtley cures poisons and non-magical diseases, ensuring no customer gets too drunk to be reasonable. It is a hold over from when the establishment was a brothel, and the owner sees no reason to have that enchantment removed.
