Pyromancy

Pyromancy specializes in anything related to fire or flames. Drawing their powers from the sun or other sources of heat, pyromancers are able to start fires, move them and shape their flames however they feel like. Putting them out might be a bit more of a challenge just like, well, basically anything that does not require absolute destruction.

Effect

As long as you are able to control the flames (most likely to keep them away from you), you are probably an alright pyromancer. However else you use the flames once you gain control of them is up to you.

Side/Secondary Effects

You don't meet many failed pyromancers. With how dangerous fire is as an element and how the magic drains the caster's body temperature, it is not uncommon to die from a botched fire spell.

Manifestation

A pyromancer will most likely feel like he is fireproof while he casts his own spells, particularly due to how quickly his temperature drops. This is, however, not the case. We repeat: save some rare, extremely talented exceptions, pyromancers are not fireproof, no matter how close they will probably want to get to their flames. It is just the cold.

Source

The sun and other heat sources, including their own flames. You can probably see the problem already.

Discovery

While, like all basic schools of magic, pyromancy was discovered by elves, it is known that this was the last element they chose to master given its destructive nature.   Notably, Tiberius Emberhand himself was a remarkable pyromancer, and his gift has lived on through his descendants, although he could hardly have been the first by the time he used it to fight off the Abyssians.

Applied Restriction
Apart from magic being illegal in Fortressia, no one in any magic community is going to forbid you from being a pyromancer. It can be destructive, but it is a clean level of destructiveness.
