Sargyar

The capital of the infamous Dragon King, Sargyar stands on the ash and bones of the past, when the great Red Dragon Kharakhal reined down on the prior capital. Rebuilt as a nigh-impregnable fortress, the city exhudes both the brutal destruction, and the strength and power to rebuild.

Demographics

The city is a closely even mix between humans and Dwarves. Though there has been a slight uptick in immigration from Orcish communities, it is not nearly as pervasive as those further north, closer to the Intransican Empire. Elves often find the city, and larger reason, not to their liking; the propensity of "Might Makes Right" philosophy at odds with the culture of the Dulandir nations they grew up in.

Defences

The city has a layers of walled fortifications, each providing for archers and anti siege munitions to be deployed, the likes of which can be successful against the threat of dragon. The garrisons and buildings that house the functioning of government are also made out of heavy stone that can resist most fire attack, allowing each to be a theoretical defensible position, should the need arise.

History

Sargyar's origins go back to the earliest parts of the First Age, when the children of the Six Sisters were still discovering the perils of the new world caused by The Sundering of the Fey Crisis. Sargyar was quickly settled due it's prime position of forestation akin to the high peaks of the nearby mountains, granting ample resources, while the rivers that ran from it granted necessary water to drink and to help grow crops; skills they had to learn for the first time, now that the utopian supply of the Lost Age was gone forever.

As it grew into a propserous community, it granted attention and with it trade from nearby smaller communities. As it easily became the center of the various villages and townships, the early leaders declared that it would be the governing body of all, a predecessor to the nation states that would follow.
Unbeknownst to them, they'd chosen a place of perfect predation. Inside the mountains that been necessary for their surivival and success was a fearsome red dragon; a new threat to the world that the people's of T'sara were becoming aware of at devesating casualties. Sargyar was burned to the ground, not a structure left standing, most souls who called it home were lost.
The few who did survive fled, warning the neighboring villages of the threat, hoping that more disaster could be avoided.
According to legend, a great warrior, as skilled in magic as in the sword, strong in mind as in back, ascended to the cave of Mount Hallan, to challenge the beast. Rather than simply killing the great beast, the warrior made the dragon his pet, or servant depending on interpretation of the legend. Now, with the most dangerous threat in the world at his beck and call, the warrior made himself ruler; the first Dragon King. A dynastic monarchal line has ruled Drogon ever since.

In show of daring and bravado, Sargyar was rebuilt where the original city once stood. This time, aware of the dragon's presence, and events may unfold leading it or another dragon to attack again, the city was built from the first brick with that threat in mind. While the great beast is pacified and controlled, for now, there may yet come a day when it attempts to get revenge.

Should that day come the Drogoons of Sargyar will be ready.
