Summon Entity

Effect

You summon extraplanar creatures to aid you in battle within any unoccupied spaces that you can see within range of your choice from the summon table of equal level to this spell casting or lower.   A summoned entity cannot summon or otherwise conjure another creature, nor can it use any teleportation or planar travel abilities. Creatures cannot be summoned into an environment that cannot support them. Creatures summoned using this spell cannot use spells or spell-like abilities that duplicate spells with expensive material components (such as wish).   Each summoned entity disappears when it drops to 0 hit points or when the spell ends, whichever comes first. Each summoned entity is friendly to you and your companions for the duration of the spell. Roll initiative for any summoned entities, which each have their own turns. They obey any verbal commands that you issue to them (no action required by you), as long as they don't violate the entities alignment. If you don't issue any commands to the entity, it defends itself from hostile creatures or follows you, but otherwise takes no actions.   The spell conjures up to the indicated number of the desired creature from the 1st Level list on Table: Summon Entity I. You choose which kind of creature to summon, and you can choose a different one each time you cast this spell.
