Ruby's Guide to the Multiverse

More specifically, her corner of it

Since I'm the first one to come up with a classification system, mine is the standard. So we all know where we are in the cosmos, there is a way of denoting which universe is which, and it's quite simple.

How to Classify Your Section of the Multiverse

It's pretty simple. I go to your universe and I judge how good your version of Star Wars is on my list. Don't bother asking for the qualifications. It's my classification, my judgment, and I'm decisive enough to stick with it. The smaller the number, the better you are. If someone fits between existing numbers, they are assigned a decimal. New decimal places are assigned as needed to fit everything in order. It's the multiverse, so it's not like we need a spacial positioning system. No, I am not taking requests or suggestions. You get what you get.

So Now You're Here

Welcome to my little corner of the galaxy. This particular world has laws of physics that lend themselves to the development of superpowers. Not every universe does this, and for those that do sometimes it causes chaos. Over here, we're lucky enough that things are relatively dispersed and stable, and that those without specific powers tend to be sturdy enough that we don't have a lot of wide scale deaths.

If you're reading this, you are probably here by accident. If it has something to do with an experiment I was conducting, my apologies for the inconvenience. If it's something to do with an experiment by someone else, originating from your side, do better next time.

Please use the attached contact information to get in touch with me so that I can send you back posthaste. Or don't, and risk being stuck here forever, or getting taken down and sent back forcibly. I don't really care either way.

Keep a few rules in mind as you traverse this world.

  • You are not special. We have seen a wide range of people, and possibly even a different and better version of you. Don't assume that you're going to come in and revolutionize anything.
  • Don't try to overthrow any governments. Yes, some of them might be bad at what they do. You have no way of knowing which ones are actually doing poorly and which ones are about to be taken down legitimately and which ones you have simply misinterpreted the situation. Leave it alone.
  • Superpowers are pretty normal here. Don't freak out, and don't assume that you can take people on when you would mostly just cause a mess.
  • Science likely operates slightly differently than in your universe. Technology might look the same but operate on slightly different principles, our capabilities might be different, and our history will probably be slightly different than you're expecting. This will be okay, as long as you don't try to blow anything up.

Keep your head and we'll all survive this nonsense without too much difficulty.
