Mandalorian Sentinels
Founded by a former Jedi of the Clone Wars who desired to help with the rebuilding and protection of Mandalore following the fall of the Empire, the Sentinels were meant to be a melding of the Jedi and the Ways of Mandalore, but being something more than both. Uncoupled from the traditions and hubris that led to the downfall of the Jedi, and tempering the warriors code of the Mandalorians, they strive to be protectors, scholars and warriors who attempt to follow the will of the force.
Numbering only a few dozen at their peak, due to the Mandalorians inherent resistance to the force, they follow the guidance of the Sentinels Battle-Master, who answers only to the Mandalore, but has complete autonomy to run the order as they wish.
Mandalorians who join the sentinels frequently give up their status and name among their clans to join the "Sentinel Clan".
Structure
Ranks
Battle-master: The head of the order, answering only to Mandalore, responsible for establishing the direction the order will follow, the primary assignments, general training and evaluation and promotion of other members of the order.
Preserver: masters of the order are called preservers, they are responsible for training those beneath them and crafting policy regarding the order
Pathfinder: Passed their apprenticeship, but not yet preservers, they are the knight equivalent, having the ability to choose their missions and train their own warder.
Warder: the apprentice of the order, their primary responsibility is learning and experiencing while being overseen by a Pathfinder or Preserver.
Disciplines
Outrider: Protectors and defenders of the Mandalorian leadership, fulfilling the role of personal guard to the Mandalore, and warriors deployed to frontlines conflicts where the standard Mandalorian warrior or mercenary is insufficient.
Scholar: Diplomats, historians and teachers, those who put acquiring and preserving knowledge above all else.
Blackguard: A covert operations branch of the order, answering solely to the Battle-Master or Mandalore, the Blackguard are advanced scouts, spies, smugglers and if need be, assassins.
Assets
Typical equipment for a member of the Sentinels is a suit of Beskar Alloy Armor (helmet is optional), a lightsaber, constructed as part of their training, a Westar-88 heavy blaster pistol, provided by Concordian Crescent Technologies
Territories
The Order was gifted a small plot of land on the Mandalorian moon of Concordia, This is their primary training location, though they have been known to have other locations for specialized training, meditation and covert operations.
