Kalvus

Under the control of a council of various of the different local governors Kalvus is an industrial holy world, and is one of the few planets in the galaxy that might resemble the domineering architecture of the empire pre-silence. However, it is dilapidated, and barely kept together by the Tech-Magi. The various power brokers all have various agreements and charters with the Magi and mechanic's guilds that keep the city churning under the smoke filled skies. Large amounts of tectonic activity have created an already dangerous planet into a catastrophe.

Massive swathes of the city-scape regularly crumble to the decay, while a distracted Magi seeks to dig deeper into the data vaults buried deep beneath the core, looking for some justification of the Covenant's mythos. Hive gangs roam the ruined parts of the city, spawned out of the vast inequality of wealth between the average denizen and the ring city dwellers. The vast majority of industrial factories now lie dormant, starved of the Plasteel and Promethium they need to be kept alive. Most of the workers have fled to literal greener pastures and more rural planet. Those that remain have carved out a resourceful existence, scrapping the old cities and hives to eek out their living. Many deal in old tech, traded to the various outposts and landing stations around the planet.
