Roadmap to the Forge

This is a quick outline to remind me of my thoughts on how to navigate the Skyforge Archive.

Immediate is Summer Camp. Summer Camp prep. We're going back to the beginning and building a world based on Summer Camp. These prompts should inspire story, not just world. Use this as an example of a Living World Bible? Maybe, maybe not.

Make a timeline of Summer Camp, give perspective clients and collaborators an idea of how the spacetime of spinning up a world goes. This should be as granular as I can make it, but should be kept as notes and then updated as time allows because a timeline is not part of the Summer Camp challenge.

Behind the scenes, we're working on the Toolbook, beginning with GECTH. Geography, Environment, Culture, Technology, and History. Then expanding into the CHARACTER chapters, the narrative architecture chapters, and the miscellaneous chapters.

For casual visitors, there should be something of a museum section, a display area for some of the best worldbuilding that Skyforge has done. A showcase for work I'm proud of and that shows the range of what worldbuilding really is: story architecture.

Create a map of how geography can help determine environment, how culture changes geography, how culture affects environment and how environment can flip culture, how culture informs history and history informs culture. How culture and history are different narratives for the stories that we tell about ourselves, or our characters tell about themselves. Don't get 'caught mapping' and trapped in things that don't matter for Summer Camp; but this will be pretty critical for demonstrating how geography, environment, culture, technology, and history are recurring cycles that keep rolling around over each other.

This is a loose guide for how I want the Forge to be navigated in the future so that casual wanderers, students, and collaborators can get exactly where they need to go with as little friction as possible.
