Investigation, surveillance, secrets, the watchers. The ones who know too much.

Elemental Grammar:

Impulse, escalation, momentum. The spark that becomes a blaze.

Tone:

Hot, reckless, kinetic. The energy of things that cannot be undone.

Domain:

Visible security, enforcement; the bouncers and breakers.

Hearts

Cups/Water/Blue/West

Elemental Grammar:

Flow, longing, emotional gravity. The undertow of desire.

Tone:

Intimate, velvet-dark, reflective. Dangerious in a quiet way.

Domain:

Singers and musicians, lounge staff and bartenders. The people and places where desire is confessed but never fulfilled.

Elemental Grammar:

Materiality, pressure, wealth, food, sex. The weight of consequence.

Tone:

Glittering, heavy, transactional. Seductive in a tangible way.

Domain:

The casino floor, showgirls, sex workers, restaurants, the guest rooms.

The Worldbuilder's Notes

Some articles are more for me than the audience. This is one of them. As an author, I tend to reach for whatever metaphor feels most convenience and true for the situation. Putting forth deliberate thought toward my metaphor families is new to me.
