Watertree
Since the beginning of time the Tree of Life was the most sacred tree to the elves. According to elven stories, the first elves were born from the Tree and elven souls return to it after death. In the times before the Shattering, elven kings appointed a Keeper responisble for the well-being of the Tree of Life. Elves believe that if the Tree dies, the world will end.
When the Shattering came, the ground around the Tree of Life opened the Tree fell into the sea. Luckily, due to its immense size, it didn't sunk completely. It survived and to this day it stands up to half the height of its trunk in the sea. When the post-Shattering crisis calmed down a little bit, a group of elves ventured to the Tree. Around its trunk they founded a floating village known today as Watertree. Elves of Watertree are completely devoted to the Tree of Life. They tend to it and defend it from any dangers.
Government
As elves of Watertree are utterly devoted to the Tree of Life they don't have a distinction between those tending to the Tree and those running the village. Both of these tasks are equally important to their mission. Their leader, who has the title of First Druid, is chosen from among the inhabitants of the village.
Architecture
The architecture of Watertree is very simple. The whole village is built from wood. Buildings are located on wooden platforms which are attached to the trunk of the Tree of Life with ropes and magic.
