Guardian statues

Across the islands of the Uferbrech Archipelago can be found these ancient statues. They were built by the ancestors of the Uferbrech Goblins, and are a key protective magic employed to keep the secrets of the ancients from being disturbed.
They are usually carved from stone, and some will still have inlays of gemstones or intricate metalic designs. Many will be depictions of the Divided Goddess Wala-Kofa, or perhaps great heroes of the goblins such as Aetora. They are magically tied to specific locations which they guard. They can sense the true intentions of any within their domain, and are imbued with magic that will animate them should the conditions of their vigil be broken. Usually, this means any retreival or disturbance of matierals or artefacts within their domain.
When activated, they will attack, subdue and kill any wrondoer.
Spritiseers of the goblins often tend these statues, where they are known, but many have been lost and forgotten over the centuries. Those who tend them will keep alive the code words and rituals for activiating or appeasing the Guaradian Statues.
