Apriori V

Apriori V was the fifth planet orbiting the star Riora, and the homeworld of the Apriorian people. Approximately 0.73 times the size of Earth, it was a terrestrial world with a stable climate, a rich ecosystem, and conditions perfectly suited for Apriorians.
The planet was destroyed when it was struck by The Crimson Light, leaving only two Apriorians as survivors.

Ecosystem

Flora

The surface of Apriori V was dominated by numerous species of pink grass, though these bore more resemblance to flowers in their variety and behaviour, producing a wide range of scents to attract local fauna. Taller trees and large shrubs were common across the landscape, often growing high enough to block out light for smaller plants below.
Aquatic plant life was equally varied. Tendril-like flora populated the shallower waters, reaching toward the surface to collect nutrients. In the ocean depths, plant species became stranger and more specialised, having adapted over time to survive with little to no light.

Fauna

Reptilian, amphibious, and insect-like creatures were found across the planet's various environments. While the Apriorians were the most intelligent species on the planet, the wilderness was far from safe, the natural fauna posed genuine dangers to even experienced inhabitants.

CLIMATE

Apriori V had distinct seasons with notable temperature shifts throughout the year. While minor variation in timing and average temperature occurred from cycle to cycle, the seasons were consistent enough that the planet's ecosystem had come to depend on and adapt around them. Temperatures ranged from a low of −55 °C to a high of 60 °C across extremes.

Atmosphere

The troposphere of Apriori V was primarily composed of argon, with a substantial proportion of oxygen.
The presence of sulfur dioxide and carbon dioxide in small quantities contributed to the planet's atmospheric character, though without any notable greenhouse effect.
