Demographics

Gnomes are always out and about. As soon as you enter the city, you see gnomes on balconies waving, others sitting outside of coffee shops and still more bustling in and out of buildings. The city is high energy, always on the move.

Defences

The city is protected by the ocean, mountains, and an impregnable wall. The Praetorians serve as the military should a need arise.

History

Rock gnomes originated in Aldesta and founded Kasnan thousands of years ago. It's long been the meeting place for the various settlements throughout the region and is the center of the Republic of Aldesta.

Architecture

Most of Kasnan is built from sandstone and adorned with stained glass. Some parts of the city display experimental metals like brass and steel. The city is filled with pillars, towers, arches, statues, and fountains.

Geography

Kasnan is built between a huge, natural rock wall and the coast of the Sea of Nerath. Large towers are pit against the backdrop of larger natural rock pillars reaching for the sky. Towering walls are adorned with clockwork contraptions of gears and chains. The walls surround the city, stretching into the distance in each direction. Behind the city, a massive, mountainous rock structure rises. For hundreds of miles inland, there is nothing but rocks and red desert.
