There are eighty eight Pixies within the scouts. Each of these Pixies has a Fae dragon that they are bonded to, that they use as mounts and hunting companions.

Weaponry

All scouts carry bows, sling shots, blow dart guns, a dagger and a bladed weapon of choice. The blades range from rapiers to polearms dpending on what the individual Pixie fels comfortable with.

Structure

The Scouts are led by a flight commander. They are split into ten groups of eight, called darts. Each dart is led by a Fang who is selected by the flight commander based on ability and aptitude.

Recruitment

New scouts are chosen from among those who have already bonded with a Fae Dragon and have gone through basic training. Any Pixie who has bonded a Fae Dragon may undergo basic training, once completed successfully their names are added to the roster of scout candidates. The next time there is an opening in the ranks of the scouts all candidates who wish to may put themselves forward for selection. A series of tests takes place over a day long event then the flight commander and the Fang, whose dart the new scout will be joining, decide on which candidate gets the spot.
