McRae Circle
Savants of Healing
The McRae Circle of Druids has been the single-most powerful and respected Circle for almost a century, thanks in no small part to their almost unheard of hereditary skill in Healing Aura. Much of this respect comes from the political handling of their leader, Gwalchmai McRae, who is said to be the strongest of the Circle in terms of Healing Aura affinity. While there are rumors of someone stronger than even him among their number, no one has ever caught sight of this potential rival for Head of the Circle, and so it remains a rumor.
Life at the Wilds Edge
While all Circles live near the Fae Wilds, the McRae Circle's hometown of Elysium sits right in the blurry line where the normal forest becomes the Fae Wilds. As such, they see very few visitors, aside from their fellow Druids and the occasional Fae. They have become highly self-sufficient as a result of their isolation, farming crops and hunting animals that have tipped the scales of the natural order.
Divine Heritage: Fact or Fiction?
While many Circles claim some form of ancestry to one or both of the deities of Earth, the McRae Circle is the only one bold enough to claim a direct ancestral heritage to Ghilena, Goddess of Earth. Whether or not it is true matters little to the community, when the progeny of the McRae Circle have all been powerful Druids. Not a one has strayed from the path of the Druid, and that is shown most keenly in their Aura specializations, which for the most part have been entirely of the Healing variety.
