High Faespeak

The Language of the High Fae, unseen in Ostrium since the fall of the First King...

Otherwise known as the language of Aura, High Faespeak was used sparingly, even among the High Fae of the Fae Wilds. There are rumors of what High Faespeak was capable of: shifting weather patterns, the ground moving as if liquid, and other feats impossible to do with pure Aura manipulation alone. Some even theorize that a Homunculus could be created with nothing but the materials and High Faespeak.

Unfortunately, none of these rumors or theories can be proven or disproved. High Faespeak has not been used in Ostrium in 600 years, ever since the betrayal of the First King and the withdrawal of the High Fae into the Fae Wilds, and few traces of its written counterpart remain as proof of its existence.

Writing System

How is anyone supposed to understand this language? It's all written in concentric circles!
— A student at the Ostrium Aura Research Society

High Faespeak is a runic language, focused on the use of concentric circles and curves for their letters, and sometimes whole words. Very few have been able to translate the remaining examples of the language within Ostrium.

A High Fae in Ostrium?

Rumor has it that there is a High Fae living among the Nomads of Ostrium, which means there could be a chance that the High Faespeak language could return with them...
