Arganth Mountains

Mountain range that splits the city state of Auran away from the country of Cardidium. Home to orc fanatics and fire newts, both of which have been pushing out kobolds, dwarves, and even lizardfolk tribes. Giant Eagles also nest here in the cliff areas but their habitats are being threatened by both the newts and the orc fanatics lately causing them to act erratically. They have even been targeting people from time to time out of hunger and frustration at the situation.

Geography

A range of mountains starting a bit into Azure Gulf and heading east. Is considered the southern border of Cardidium.

Localized Phenomena

There are hot springs found in the mid east portion of the range. As the mountains show no signs of being part of the volcanic range that exists underwater in the gulf the springs are a bit strange, especially since they have no relation to the Midris river and instead feed the Valignat River Marsh.

History

Dragonling and Dwarf tunels cut through these mountains though many have been forced to flee as colonies of fire newts gain a foothold. There are also various forts and temples from the days of empire in the region. The largest of these is Castle Firebrand.
