One of the most interesting legendary figures in the world is the Sun Warrior, for their story is not limited to just a single culture, but to several spread across the known world. It is believed that the Sun Warrior will fight the Darkness that infests the world and bring about a new era of peace and Light. Whether the Sun Warrior is a prophesied individual, a historical figure, or merely a manifestation of hope, is still highly debated. Stories presumed to be about the Sun Warrior go back many centuries and large cultural variations exist.

Elemental magic in Taklasil

Little over a century ago, mages possessing elemental powers lived all across the continent of Taklasil. They were hunted down by the Haruran, invaders from the south, who saw them as hellspawn, creatures made from pure Darkness. One powerful mage known for her adeptness in conjuring fire, one of the last elemental mages, defeated this enemy. Her name is unknown, but she is often described as the Champion of Sunlight, the Rising Sun, and She who led the Sunrise, hence it is assumed she might have been the Sun Warrior.

Bringer of Light in Garyiala

Garyialan historians have argued Othya Novar 'the Dawn' to have been the prophesied Sun Warrior. After the Twilight Collapse, when Darkness rose and many civilisations fell, it was her discovery of the sun crystal’s properties to repel shadow creatures that resulted in the unification of the people of the Gar and Reva Riverlands. Many people believe that her spirit is yet to be reincarnated, and when it does, this new individual will rid the world once and for all of Darkness.
