Hyvalia
I have seen into the eyes of desire itself. It's beauty matches nothing in this realm, and yet, I feel torn and pulled by their absence. My heart and mind cracking at the very idea that they are not around any longer. I wish for them back in my arms once again. I know of some others that wish to reclaim their desire, to harness and hold it for as long as we are able. I just wish I possessed the power to feel their embrace once again.
Hyvalia, Love's Longing is the Dual Idol of Desire and Neglect. They have become well known for their connection with both long-term and passing desires, as well as the abandonment that can be felt by those who are no longer desired.
Appearance and Symbols
Hyvalia's Appearance has been contested several times throughout history. Some see them as a tall elf with smooth skin and flowing blonde hair. Others see them as a human female with alluring features and kind eyes. Others yet see them as a large pantera with strong muscles and a clear mane. Ancient depictions of Hyvalia discuss them possessing a face of pure beauty, with eyes filled with the pain of a thousand lifetimes, any scarring from The Shatter seemingly beautiful rather than horrifying.
The contention for Hyvalia's appearance stems from their ability to shift to the most desirable traits one finds in another person. There are reports of those who do not possess physical attraction seeing Hyvalia as an almost formless being of ooze that attempts to shift into a form that is at least comforting for the figure in front of them, including long-lost parents and companions. This has unsettled some, who see the appearance of Hyvalia and reject them, leading to the deities scorn.
The symbol most commonly associated with Hyvalia is a heart with a skull. This was first used during The Shatter by a champion of Hyvalia who was aware of the deities propensity as both desire, but also to abandon those they deem have expired past their purpose. The symbol grew as it became the oldest recorded symbol of the deity, though variations involving different hearts and breaks within them appearing throughout the centuries of the Age of Restoration.
