Mekstad

Named after the first king of the second imperial dynasty, Mekst. The man who ended Meríōnwia's dynasty and took power. He ruled fairly, for the most part, attempting to erase much of the old Kingdom's history, starting with the name. The old name was Newnōg, meaning "New Nine" as the city was originally ruled by nine leaders. Over time these leaders died and the last one to pass named Meríōnwia his heir, thus starting the great kingdom's first dynasty.
