Entkin

Ancient as the earth & wise as the eras themselves, the folk of Nádarrac view the Ents as the wise caretakers of the world that patrol its forests to remove any malevolence they encounter on their joyous saunters.

In truth, many of the Entkin who now live in Nádarrac are on the less elderly side, with those born at the world's beginning having encountered more gruesome fates. The Ents tend not to be lonesome either, tending their flocks of Huorns - though these trees tend to be overlooked by the populace greater - and are often merrily conversing with these individuals in the language of the wind, known as Entish.

Some of the youngest, brashest Entkin will venture out into Nádarrac in search of lost Huorns, or for greater wisdom in order to hopefully match the stereotype of the wise old tree.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

Most all Entkin originate within Entland in Cartrefheim, or come from the Profaned Forest. Those coming from the Profaned Forest are notably different to a degree, both in appearance & demeanour.

Entland Folk

The folk of Entland generally tend to be more Oaken in their appearance, with their demeanours being more benevolent than their cousins. The greenery of their form is highly vibrant & thick, creating dense pockets of foliage across their bark forms. They tend to have somewhat splintered bark, creating jagged figures resembling almost a mass of twigs assembled into a humanoid form. Entland folk are located primarily across all the forests of the world; the most predominant distribution of these Ents is in Entland itself, with the following realm being Coewdiglas.

Profaned Folk

The Ents of the Profaned Forest tend to be much more twisted, less visibly sharp in their forms yet bent in unnatural forms. Their demeanours are malevolent, sadistic almost & highly abusive. Profaned forest ents are generally more susceptible to coersion as well, the Vampiric energies which are residual throughout those forests tend to corrupt the minds of the Ents exposed to it for too long, resulting in this effect. These Profaned Ents can be found primarily in just the Profaned Forest but a few of them have been spotted expanding through the rest of Entland as the darkening hours draw nearer.

Average Height

Depends on the age of the Entkin but most of these individuals tend to be around 20' tall at their highest, but thats for folk who are truly elderly, with a thousand years under their belt thereabouts.

The more spritely & chipper saplings of the Entkin tend to be about 6' tall, progressively growing over & over, When considered Adults they're usually around 8'-12' tall.

Average Physique

Dominant figures presiding over the shrubbery & bushes, strapped with a thick bracken across their oak form. These tall formed beings tower above the friendly folk they surround themselves with; stood at a daunting average of 10' or higher, with innumerably thick wooden appendages dragging over the ground they stand as monarchs upon.

No two Ents are ever similar by any meaning of the word, aside - maybe - from the fact they are all walking trees. An Entkin adopts the appearance of the woods around them when they are born, though some influences from the woods they tend may creep in for the more nomadic Ents. A predominant yew tree Entkin may stride with flowing, billowing, luteous willow tree locks clinging dearly upon the jagged interlocking bark folds. Another Ent, an Oaken figure, strides over the windswept plains of Saidan Dale as his stubble of moss flattens under the invisible onslaught. Ents are aesthetically inordinately varied.
