Bomber

This is a very curious Mystimon, and one that still has people scratching their heads since it was first discovered. Some people describe it as a Mystimon with an identity crisis. In fact this was the Mystimon that instigated the creation of the Strange taxonomy in the first place, as no one was quite sure what to categorise it as.

The existence of this Mystimon is also horrifying, for it could even be in your home right this second and you would have no idea. It is known to take the form of any number of inanimate objects, including artefacts, which it very often does. It could also take the form of chests, tables, ladders, chairs, and even wagons. It will often stay in this form for days or even months, perhaps years at a time until it eventually gets bored and takes the form of something else.

Only when it is discovered will it lash out, and attack, and when it does, you will wish you had not uncovered it at all, for it will explode. Hence its name. However it does not kill itself when doing this, which is even more remarkable and terrifying even, as it will simply pull itself back together again. It is the gift that unfortunately just keeps giving.

Basic Information

Anatomy

No one is really sure if it even has a true form at all. It will take the form of basically any inanimate object you could possibly think of, including chests, wagons, ladders, chairs, etc.

Biological Traits

It has a propensity to explode when it is discovered. When it does so it will simply pull itself back together again. It also seems to have the power to regenerate itself.

Genetics and Reproduction

No one is really sure how or even if these Mystimon reproduce in the normal way, or if they reproduce in some unknown fashion we are yet to discover.

Ecology and Habitats

Bomber's ideal habitat is terrifyingly enough, your home. Look around, carefully, there could be one in your home right now and you wouldn't even know it. It could be your grandmother's old chair in the corner. It could be your dad's favourite sofa. It could even be your desk. Just be careful if you do find one, for it might explode!

Dietary Needs and Habits

As far as anyone is aware, it doesn't seem to need to eat anything, but no one is entirely sure. It is thought by some that they simply feed on house hold pests like Ravish or perhaps those spiders you never know what to do with, cause who knows how to get rid of a spider the size of a cat or dog, such as Blackarach.

Behaviour

They are an extremely patient species, for if it feeds on anything at all, it is most likely that it feeds on household pests, and acts as a sort of ambush predator in this way. It can also stay in one spot for days, months, or even years, until such time as it gets bored with its current form and decides to take the form of something else. However whenever it is discovered by the homeowner or someone else, it will latch on to the closest creature and explode. Extreme care is highly recommended when dealing with these creatures.

Additional Information

Social Structure

Bombers are solitary creatures. Usually. At least we hope so. We certainly would hope there's not more than one Bomber in our home, that would be a nightmare!

Geographic Origin and Distribution

They are in your very home right this second. Anywhere in the world. Nowhere is safe from these creatures.
