Wintershields

The elite guard force and detectives of the city of Neverwinter. Hired by Lord Neverember himself. Led by the former Mintarn mercenary captain Tarn Nasher, a cousin of the previous lord Alagondar Nasher.

The Wintershields are led by a Shield-Captain supported by a lieutenant. The rest are supposed to be self organising as Wintershield watchmen. Apprentices can be assigned to Wintershields or stay back at base to research or support in some other way.

Shield-Captain Tarn Nasher

• Race: Human
• Role: Captain of the Wintershields
• Appearance: A tall human man in his 50s, grey short hair, muscular with blue piercing eyes. Dressed in the uniform of the Wintershields, a long white tunic with a shield and a torch on it.
• Personality: Tarn is a stern but just man. He is an outsider and mercenary from Mintarn and deals with criminals harshly.
• Quote: "Fear of the Wintershields will clean the streets better than our swords."

Lieutenant Petar Grishma

• Race: Human
• Role: Lieutenant of the Wintershields
• Appearance: A human man in his 30s, brown shoulder length hair, wiry with brown eyes. Dressed in the uniform of the Wintershields, a long white tunic with a fur collar.
• Personality: Petar is a soft spoken man native to the city of Neverwinter. He cares about the Wintershields and doesn't like putting them in danger. Dislikes the regular guards.
• Quote: "We are the Shields protecting the innocents from the dark and cold!"

Wintershield Fruggo Berrymush

• Race: Halfling
• Role: Detective with the Wintershields
• Appearance: A halfling man in his 30s, brown curly hair, wiry with green eyes. Dressed in the uniform of the Wintershields, a long white tunic with a fur collar.
• Personality: Fruggo is a gloomy Halfling and cynical. He believes everyone has done something bad and there are no innocents.
• Quote: "If they haven't done anything wrong, they'll do something tomorrow."

Wintershield Daeran Serithil

• Race: Elf
• Role: Detective with the Wintershields
• Appearance: An Elf woman, tall and slender, long blond hair, green eyes. Dressed in the uniform of the Wintershields, a long white tunic with a fur collar.
• Personality: Dearan is intelligent, arrogant and doesn't like to be questioned. She's very ambitious and wants to climb the ranks.
• Quote: "Let's make quick work of these miscreants. Their bosses are our real targets."

Wintershield Alicia Hammerhand

• Race: Dwarf
• Role: Detective with the Wintershields
• Appearance: A dwarf woman, muscular, long braided black hair, blue eyes. Dressed in the uniform of the Wintershields, a long white tunic with a fur collar.
• Personality: Alicia is cheery and likes to drink and make merry! Always in for game of dice and loves to gamble. Works to make coin to support her family and has no intention to advance in rank.
• Quote: "Let's roll the dice and let fate decide!"

Wintershield Zylassa Ermeiri

• Race: Human
• Role: Detective with the Wintershields
• Appearance: A human woman in her 40s, dark skin, wiry, short black hair, brown eyes. Dressed in the uniform of the Wintershields, a long white tunic with a fur collar.
• Personality: Zylassa is quiet woman from the south. She used to be a guardswoman in Athkatla and after a criminal syndicate murdered her partner she fled up north.
• Quote: "Sometimes justice and vengeance go hand-in-hand."

Apprentice Hans

• Role: Apprentice with the Wintershields
• Appearance: A human man in his 20s, tanned, wiry, short brown hair, brown eyes. Dressed in the uniform of the Wintershields, a long white tunic with a fur collar.
• Personality: Hans is happy young man eager to prove himself to the Wintershields and become an official detective.

Apprentice Gaela

• Race: Elf
• Role: Apprentice with the Wintershields
• Appearance: An Elf woman, long brown hair, green eyes. Dressed in the uniform of the Wintershields, a long white tunic with a fur collar.
• Personality: Gaela is the latest addition to the Wintershields. A bookworm and loves to do research for the detectives.
