Thuridan Faewynn
Knight of the Griffin Riders of Her Majesty's Army. Recently he was stationed on the island colony of Naenas in The Western Ocean to support the ancient city state against the barbarians in the north and the Empire to the south-east.
A violent Orc broke loose from the labour camp and killed a citizen in cold blood. He escaped on a ship headed to Brightwater on the coast of the jungles of Olmerrec. Thuridan was sent with a mission to retrieve this criminal to bring him to justice but a group of local ruffians grabbed him, beat him up and dragged him off to sell him to the Orc chieftain on the barbaric colony of Lorrukh. He fought for his life in the gladiator pits until they decided to trade him for some of their captive people and he finally made it back to the island of Naenas.
After the capture of Selvardis and the death of the ancient dragon Amatruss the Wise he was called back to Theras City and Queen Ealfasia Findael II. She tasked him to fight back the pirates coming from the west at all costs. With the armies and navy holding back the Empire and the looming threat of the barbarians to the North he started to call for heroes to serve on board the remaining ships to fight these pirates.
His Griffin's name is Cerie and was captured by thieves in Brightwater while he was imprisoned by the Orcs in the south. It is currently being used to train new Griffin soldiers in service to Aontas--A newly established country in the jungles of Olmerrec--and its legion.
Personal History
He was born to the noble family of Faewynn in Selvardis to an Elven mother and a Human father. Being the youngest of three siblings he enrolled in military service at a young age with the Royal Navy. Because of his noble rank he was trained as an officer and knight but he had little interest in sailing the ships of the Kingdom. Training for a long time he managed to make it into the Griffin Riders of Selvardis, the Order of the Silver Wings. After years of service he made it into Knight-Captain of the Order and commanded a wing of Riders. Fighting against the magic hating barbarians of the north he earned many accolades, medals and promotions. However, his family suffered scandal, were banished to Naenas on the far reaches of the Kingdom. Thuridan was in the position to repair the reputation of his house by joining them in exile and training the Griffin Riders on the newly built Aerie on the island. He established the Order of the Broken Wings. He and the local Griffin Riders fought against pirates and invaders from Pol. Patrolling the shores with their mighty winged beasts they kept the people save and punished criminals.
