The Shadowfell is an echo of the Material Plane. Its a realm of eerie beauty and existential dread, often used to explore themes of mortality, loss, and the darker aspects of the soul.

Gloomy and Bleak: A world of perpetual twilight or darkness, where the landscape is shrouded in muted colors and decay. The air feels heavy with sorrow and despair.

Emotional Reflection: A twisted mirror of the Material Plane, amplifying negative emotions like fear, sadness, and hopelessness. Places of joy in the Material Plane may appear as ruins or haunted wastelands here.

Inhabitants: Home to undead, shadow creatures, and beings like the Shadar-Kai. Mortals such as necromancers or exiles may also dwell here.

Time and Space: Time flows unpredictably—sometimes faster, sometimes slower—and distances can be deceptive, making travel treacherous.
