• Pastel green is seen as a colour of purity and divinity, it is used in weddings and in spiritual ceremonies.
• Grey is seen as the colour of death and mourning, it is worn at funerals and generally avoided in any other situation, even their armour will usually be coated or painted so that it is a different colour.
• Purple is often seen as a colour of lust, this is because it is thought to be the most beautiful skin colour the elves are capable of having and therefore symbolises the flesh.
• Pastel blue is seen as the colour of youth, it is generally not worn after one has come of age.

Dyed objects and clothing are generally pale in tone because the elves only use natural dyes.
