Beastmen

History:

It's believed that the origin of the beastmen was from a group of humans cursed by the gods, they come in various beastly forms, but most share the characteristics of large predators such as wolves and bears. They now take up an entire continent of the world.

Reproduction:

Although sharing a fair portion of their DNA with humans, they are unable to produce offspring together, and a relationship between the two would be viewed the same as bestiality, which is a crime in most countries. It is also unusual for beastmen to court someone of a different beast form, but they can still reproduce and it is not usually frowned upon the same as inter spices relationships, the exception to this is if its a more predatorial beastman such as one with lion characteristics was to be with a beastman with "prey" characteristics such as a hare, this may also cause birthing issues if they produce offspring together.
For the most part, different beast forms will live in different settlements and stay amongst their own kind.

Stigma:

Beastmen are capable of speech and are usually very civilised, however many still fear them and their monstrous forms.
