Boundless Sea
The Boundless Sea is an elemental plane whose environment is made up primarily of water. Giving the impression of a deep, vast ocean with no surface point, it is believed to physiologically sit between the the planes of Air and Earth. Both planes have access points within the Boundless Sea.
Planar natives include faydhaan, sahaguin, kraken, brine dragons, and water elementals. There is also a significant presence of merfolk on the plane, though they generally keep to themselves, developing their own communities in relative secrecy. Suli and a few other non-native races have also taken up residence within the Sea. As air is scarce and oft-guarded to ensure its availability for traders and important visitors, virtually all of the Sea's inhabitants do not require air to breathe.
War and bloodshed is commonplace among the Boundless Sea's various regions, especially in the Great Deep, where lords such as the sadistic and merciless Kelizandri revel in lording their power over others. Independent cities of Sahaguin who once fought just for the right to exist in the Deep have allied under a united banner - not only to oppose the bloodthirsty emperor, but to inspire the same fear throughout the Sea as Kelizandri does himself.

Geography
Aside from open water, various cave systems can be found all throughout the Boundless Sea, along with dark chasms that pierce deep into the sea bed. Underwater atolls and floating barrier reefs are home to diverse animal species throughout the plane, and the Sanyi Kafa region is famed for the immense icebergs its natives have carved their cities into.
Dense woods of seaweed and algae host hidden dangers, and pillow lava forms mountains where geothermal vents are the most active.

Ecosystem Cycles
While seasons vary throughout the Boundless Sea, they are generally defined less by a natural life cycle and more by the strength of currents and the presence or absence of ice, silt, or steam flows. Certain regions define seasons by whirlwinds and vortices. Extreme weather of every kind is far more prevalent and erratic in the around which the Sea meets the air plane and the earth plane.
History
The Sea was once home to the prolific Atlantis, a technologically-advanced civilization that existed in a prior iteration of the Material Plane. On their native home, war broke loose as jealous neighbors sought to conquer the land where the city developed, which sat upon an astonishing natural resource: a magical leyline. Begging their god for help, the Atlanteans eventually fled to the Boundless Sea, taking their city (and its marvels) with them.
When that world was destroyed, the plane of Water was untouched, and the city survived the recreation of the Material Plane as a result. It sat in isolation for untold years, until Industria and company threatened its power source. The conflict resulted in a deal, and Atlantis returned to the Material Plane, gratefully leaving the Boundless Sea and their self-imposed exile behind.
