Liminal Lantern

As you enter into The Obscura, something on one of the many curious shelves is a scale model of a paddle steamer. You don't know much about boats but you swear you can hear music coming from the ship. You read the plaque beside the model and find that there's a small pamphlet on the boat. As you go to open the pamphlet, a flicker in your peripheral makes you look toward an apparition of an elderly woman. She waves at you and motions as if to ask you to follow her. Do you continue to read the pamphlet or do you follow her?
