Hsithborn Demonarchy

When the connections between the realms were open, Hsith was the demon in charge of the region of Infernus closest to the GATE. Neither Lust or Iron demon, Hsith was something older and eventually long forgotten.
Creating strong connections between Infernus and the much cooler Parnathus, trade was good between the lands of endless fires and the lands of endless fields. And from this strong trade lineage grew the Hsithborn, a group of demons from many walks of life that believe they came from the ancient demon Hsith.
The disparate and argumentative lineage congealed into the internally battling Demonarchy when the ways between the realms were forced shut by the mages of Levis. The light strain that was strengthened by the need for survival, that constant internal struggle turned in on itself and the demonarchy became one of the main organisational networks that spread across Infernus.
The mid-modern demonarchy was based around that bloodline callback to Hsith, those seeking power claiming heritage with that ancient diplomat. While the Hsithborn did not completely control all of Infernus close to the GATE, those that are outside their influence soon fall due to some infraction.

Structure

The demonarchy is a set of lords and ladies, each controlling their own space, set in a myriad of political relationships and all claiming blood relation to Hsith. The greatest unplayed card of any lord against their rival is being able to prove that the other is not of bloodline to Hsith, though this play is never used, lest the entire tower of power be brought into the firelight as a lie.
Each Lord or Lady has under them a Foreman (a demon in charge of the construction and civil side of their region) and a Raid-Leader (In charge of taking and holding land and resources from unclaimed regions or lord and ladies not aligned with their master).

Culture

The demonarchy is about holding as much of it can within itself while not allowing its components any too large slice of the pie. If survival is the communal goal, the culture is one of deals and betrayals, and the constant need to fill as much space as possible while holding off your peers.
Usurpers and upstarts are the most dangerous element of the Demonarchy, where new blood is infinitely possible, but poses so much challenge to long lineages of demons who want to see their existence lead into infinity. Most of the actions of the lords and ladies of the demonarchy are about ensuring this new blood does not come to political capital, that the old lines stay in charge of what little control of Infernus they have. For in an instance the iron winds might strip it all bare.

Territories

Infernus, or at least the prime planet in the region is controlled across most of its eastern hemisphere in some manner by the demonarchy. While true knowledge of the scope of control is hidden across most of Infernus by the iron wind that coat the planet into a sea of red and black from space, regional maps place the Hsithborn as controlling from The Magma Wastes to the Sea of Eternity.

Laws

There is one difference between the subtlety of Levis and its bards and the demonarchy, and that is the first law of conquest:
Those that wish the crown must weild the blade.
Which is to say, while armies may meet armies, those that wish to cleanly finish their enemies must weild the weapon that ends them for themselves. In Infernus, a bard would never be used to take out a rival, for that is putting the bard into power and not the one who employed them. Even after an army claims a capital, the demon wishing to control all must be the one to take the heads of the baronies, lest a vassal be made in its stead.

Economic System
Mixed economy
Legislative Body
The laws of engagement within Infernus are written by the Rule of 5. These 5 demons are not allowed to own anything, but are taken care of so that they can design and set boundaries for how those in power may behave to prevent the most demonic deaths. In a world about survival, the Rule of 5
Judicial Body
Each ruler of their territory holds and enforces the laws of their regions. While some may hire or work with mercenaries and enforcers, many a lord or lady works off the power of their word and reputation alone.
