Grilled Root Stuffings

While meat dumplings are a thing that travelled wholecloth from Infernus, the combination of minds brought creativity to the cullinary arts once the people of Hublesstone integrated sharing food with their neighbours.
Those allowed within the settlement were amazed at the use of R.E.M. to heat long sheets of metal, and how the demons would line them in rows to cook things unevenly - the Hublesstone's own grill.

From there something needed grilling!

Manufacturing process

To make the Stuffings, first the root mash is made. To do this, roots are softened in a heated boat of honey, the boat a wrapping of heat resistant leaves, or a thin shell of metal (often the metal for the demons, while those of Levis prefer wrapped leaves). From there, the boat is slowly cooked until steam begins to curl from the upper corner of the boat. The honey broth is set aside and the roots are peeled from their skins and mashed. The mash has the broth added back along with seasoning, mixed until the mash becomes a gel-like constancy similar to succulant juice.
Mushrooms, crunchy insects or thin strips of meat are taken to the grill to char their outsides. Setting them aside, thumb sized bowls are made of the mash before the charred 'meats', along with thin slices of various sweet vegetables are pressed into the centre of the mash. A sauce may be added here- usually something with a spicy heat - before the bowl is given a mash lid and placed upon the grill. Care is always taken here to score the lid of both sides of the mash with char lines - this both provides structural support as the mash crispens, and also is a sign of a good

Significance

This is yet another fusion between the demons and the greater population of Levis. Given the food and meat importance of this, it was not long after the design of this that delegations from both Brambleberry and Sentis both found their way to the demon settlement.
It was the combination of meat and sociably acceptable and easy to diversify dishes that drew the diplomats, the idea that demon recipes could be adapted to bring cohesion and respectability to carnivourous creature-kin.
