Null Magic

Eventually all magic comes back to nothing.

In the creation of magic and magical theory within Levis, there came a time where the mathematics and experimentation of the internal magic, the external application and the celestial cosmos were all rushing towards a grand unifying theory of magic. While this theory is still far from being manifested, it has led towards several universal truths to be discovered. One, is null magic.

Null magic supposes that for every positive magic and every negative absoption or chaos, there exists points within the system (planet, world, cosmos, magical circuit) where a null value may exist. Within these systems a null value would not be the absence of magic being performed - an inactive circuit tattoo would not be a null point, but that it is closer aligned to an equilibrium between the creative and destructive - order and chaos.

Utility

The easiest application of the Null is seen in circuit magic - with the Still circlet. Present in many more complex magic utterances, the Still is three concentric circles and provides a moment of stillness within an act of magica. Within circuit arcana, the still is like a coma or a full stop - sometimes in time, sometimes in potential, but always a break in the inertia of the magic performed. Where the end of an circuit will just stop, the still at the end of a utterance, might bring the magic to a gentle decline.

The Null can also be seen within the Celestial Winds, in points of equilibrium, where either side of the null point exists points of flow, but that the net flow of celestial potential over the point cancels out in a moment of unique nothingness. This can also be seen in points around the Avani rift, where the chaos amplified out from the source of negative power clashes with the inverse wind naturally formed around Avani's island like a roiling cloud.

Celestial Mathematicians have computed that there exists a null in the cosmic space, that the magic of the cosmos supports the Null Magic Theorem, but they have yet had the equipment to be able to observe where that null point may exist. There currently is the constant Si, being used within calculations that marks this nullness, though both the value and its precise applications still needs greater care and knowledge.
