Pall LaFael
Pall LaFael (a.k.a. Fell Palla)
He was a horror to behold as his lips moved, silent to everyone in the roar of the wind that made the rain strike like needles. His deep eyes glowed with anger and pain as he walked forward, continuing to whisper magic with only his breath, unheard of before Pall LaFael. He stared his brother in the eyes, and Aust stared back. They were locked together in the moment for what seemed like an eternity, and just as Pall swore he saw a flicker of recognition in Aust's eyes, Aust muttered a sharp, single word, and Pall was thrown violently backwards.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Pall keeps himself as healthy as he can, but being on the run and unable to get basic things without fighting has taken its toll. He's short and lean, though he keeps himself as fit despite being slightly underweight. Pall is very agile and flexible, which he trains to keep up to make sneaking an easy task.
Body Features
Pall's pale hair appears ragged due to cutting it with a knife when it gets too long. As with all Corvaids, his skin has a greyish tone to it, which can make him look ill to others. His eyes are the most noticeably different, with bright purple irises and pupils and black sclera.
Identifying Characteristics
Pall has birthmarks underneath his eyes and bottom lip; facial birthmarks are common in Corvaids.
Special abilities
Pall is able to use only his breath to form enough sound to cast the verbal magic Corvaids are born with despite his muted condition. He is moderately skilled in it; moreso than most other Corvaids in Cochel, but nowhere near mastery.
Mental characteristics
Personal history
Pall grew up in a poor part of Bandelli, Cochel's capital, with his mother, father, and older brother. In Cochel, the Corvaids' verbal magic is considered too wild and dangerous for the government to properly control, so all Corvaids are surgically muted at the age of five, only a few years before their magic starts to really manifest. Pall's brother was saved from this fate by a panelist who wished for him to be their bodyguard, however this was at the cost of his freedom. At the age of eight, when his magic began manifesting, Pall's brother was taken by the government and began training to be entirely obedient. Pall's parents were mortified, and because of this they hid Pall from the government, keeping him from the same fate and being muted.
He grew to the age of thirteen learning small amounts of magic before he was caught when he broke his arm while playing and was taken to the hospital. His parents were arrested soon after, and kept in a behavior rehabilitation center for four years, where non-violent criminals are sent. Pall was surgically muted after their arrest, and sent to live in a Bunkhouse. When he was sixteen, his father died from medical issues within the center. At 17 his mother was released, in a very docile and traumatized state. He was allowed to move in with her in a housing unit, and settled in to take care of her. Soon after, she committed suicide while he was out, and Pall returned to the Boardhouse.
At age of 18, Pall began to wander further and further from the city. The Divine Ashil the Sewn took an interest in him, and met Pall on one such exploration outside of the city. Ashil began teaching Pall how to use his breath in place of his voice to continue using his magic, explaining that as long as there was sound and intent, the magic would work. Pall dedicated himself to learning this magic, until, at the age of 19, a kid at the Bunkhouse discovered him practicing and reported it. Pall had to run, and was considered officially "absent" by the Cochelian government, a status that made it impossible to buy anything, get work, or receive medical care, food, and housing.
Pall began hiding out in empty housing units he broke into using his magic. He had several close calls with Enforcers before he began pressing Ashil for answers about his brother. After learning where he was, Pall began to plan. At the age of 22, Pall attempted to free his brother by attacking and killing the panelist that he was protecting. His brother was thoroughly brainwashed at this point, but spared Pall's life despite leaving him with some grievous wounds. Pall once again had to run.
Ever since that day, Pall has been working on dismantling the Cochelian government, believing that the way it is run is corrupt. He is wanted for the murder of a panelist, one of the few crimes punishable by death. He uses his magic to disguise himself and get access to anything he needs. He still hopes to free his brother one day, and help him return to a normal life.

Pall originally was homeschooled up until the age of 13, at which point he was enrolled into Cochel's education system up to the age of 19, when he dropped out to run. Afterwards, he has gotten education in basic Corvaid magic from Ashil the Sewn, and has learned as much as he can from the info library available on all of Cochel's computers.
Employment
Pall worked in a Bunkhouse from age 13-19, where he worked whatever odd jobs he was given. He is currently unemployed and cannot get work due to his "wanted" status.
