A Brief Travelers Guide to The World
Foid's guide, admittedly, has the advantage of him having been to every place that he mentions. Unfortunately, Foid also tends to focus on... less useful things. — Jasper Cameron, leader of The Bronze Ravens
Travel Thoughts
Cause Dad said I should keep a Journal
The Blighted Isle: Lots of places to hide, as long as they dont fall apart. No goo hunting though, and the fish taste worse than normal.
Ironstead: Cities are so noisy, they sccare away all the tasty animals. On top of that, none of the clerics in the temples seem to actually have a line of communication to their god. How can I know if I am a paladin if I cant actually talk to the god in question.
Jacy: Better hunting in the mountains, though the goats arent the most tasty. More of a slow roast kind of animal, which puts a damper on things. Wont stay long, dwarves remind me of dad. I miss dad.
North Bog: Great seafood stews. Still get the sense that gods are closer to the dwarves in their mines than anyone in cities. I mean i'm good at the whole "smite" thing, but it would be really convenient to be able to heal without potions.
Thunder Dunes: Noisy. So Noisy. stupid waves and their stupid caves. Still, at least Ishmael Tenebris was nice enough to provide some food. Traded my 3rd favorite knife for the most delicious curry.
Myrdhor Desert: Lobsters and rabbits abound, They basically deliver themselves to you for cooking. Still, its a bit dry, definitely bring your own water. Good thing I have Belmourne's old decanter. Also, watch out for vampires, especially the daytime knight-looking ones. They aren't nearly as reasonable as the others of their kind.
Outh Mead: THEY MAKE THE MOST DELICIOUS DUCK HERE! AND MEAD, ALL THE MEAD YOU CAN EVER WANT!
Osect: It has been so long since i had dad's Chili. I have to admit that Salt Staples are way more convenient than treking to the ocean and boiling water for a day or 2. They laughed at me when I asked if they could put me in contact with their gods. One cleric even laughed when I said I was a paladin.
The Cloudtusk Plains: All the animals here look a bit like the god that made them got lazy... or wasn't very creative. Except the Cloudtusks. Those are cool. Just dont climb the trees too high, they are deceptively fast.
The Ruby Bridge: Jaccast DONT TASTE GOOD! Also they are as sneaky as owls, which also dont taste good. Very little cover on the bridge, though there is a fair amount of hiding places in it. Cool treasures too, Picked up a new smite knife. It was just lying there in a pile of dead dead jaccast, and they dont seem the kind to use it.
Highmoore Academy of Specialized Magics and Arcane Traditions: The knife said I should visit here. I dont know why, none of these people seem to know much about becoming a better paladin. they do cool magic though
Feywillow Forest: They have such good fruit at the big tree. The elves didnt seem to want to share any, but they arent nearly as observant as they seem to think. Being near the tree reminds me of when dad and I would see the Raven Queen, but different. This is also where that exploding prank sap comes from.
Blood Moon Cove: Man, everyone here could really do to remember, "treat other folks how you want them to treat you" Dont try to stab people in the kidney if you aren't wearing knife proof armor. Dont try to stab them in the front if your knife is shorter than their rapier. I mean really, How hard is that to remember?
Tuulikello Forest How is one supposed to sleep with all this noise? The plants do look cool but it takes so much work to eat stuff when everything is encased in crystals of one sort or another.
