This planet came into being several billions of years ago. At first the only sapient species were the dragons. Then many other sapient creatures appeared. The dragons taught the others many things. Among the things that the dragons taught them was magic.
The humans got jealous of the magical abilities of the dragons and rallied all other sapient species to drive the dragons away from the planet. 200 years ago most of the dragons fled the planet and now supposedly all sapient species have the same level of magical abilities...
It's a bit more scary here than my first world. But it's home now...

Conflicts
The largest conflict of this world has already passed. The "heroes" won and the "villains" left. Now all conflicts are more or less local. Sure, some countries have some conflicts, but it's more petty squabbles than large scale conflicts. The largest threat is that of the Monsters.
These creatures are not sapient. "They are not even sentient." the humans say. The monsters attack in specific areas of the world. Some people believe that the dragons sent them, while others believe that the dragons were protecting the planet from these creatures.
The Union, the same organization that bravely fought off the dragons, is now protecting the world from the monsters.
People are pretty much the same everywhere.

Species
The humans thought that there were 6 sapient species until the Dragons were chased away from the planet. Now they believe that there are 5. This is not right.
There are also many different kinds of sentient animals and plants on this planet. Many of them are similar to ours, yet different.
Magic
The dragons could do anything. Create something out of nothing. The magic that the dragons taught the other sapient species was called "Spellwork".
The humans believe that now, when the dragons are gone, the only magic that exists is spellwork. And they have control of spellwork. Supposedly.

Scale
This is an entire planet with three continents, but the worldbuilding is currently focused on the country Nordalund on the continent of Snowbound.
Technology
Around our 1890s but the technology has made large leaps the last 100 years. (And with people from our world and other worlds around, technology is a bit ...pointy.)
Inspiration
As all of my other worlds have dragons who have been chased from their original world. I had to come up with the original world.
I got inspiration for this world from many different fantasy worlds like "Genshin Impact" and "The Apothecary Diaries". As well as Nordic folktales and nature in the northern parts of Sweden. This world is also inspired by my plants.
