Kantostara
Warning Proceed with caution
If you truly believe in illusions such as linear time, the threshold that you are about to cross might just break your understanding of reality.
You are about to enter a story within a story within a story where the fragments of artifacts from a galaxy in one dimension lead to historical fiction in another dimension that forms the basis for the origin myths of a world in yet another dimension. Or maybe that's not true at all. Maybe it's the other way around entirely. Echoes echo the echoes here and transitions from place to place and time to time can happen in the space of a heartbeat. If at any time you find that you have wandered beyond the edges of your known world, don't panic. Just follow the beat, beat, beat of the song that calls to your heart and you'll be fine.
As near as I can tell, this is what's left of some kind of ancient alien archive created by a woman called Sona Jin who was not from Kantostara, or the Milky Way, but some other galaxy entirely. Maybe she found these fragments of a lost civilization playing hide and seek in an asteroid belt. Maybe she came across them when she was just passing through another dimension. Maybe she was a cosmic archeologist who dug up the fragments and catalogued them. Then she did what all people do. She made meaning. She let the fragments tell their story. She let the fragments sing their song and realized that they were singing her song, too.
Somehow I seem to have stumbled into Sona Jin's archive, and apparently, I'm the one who is meant to share these stories with the people of Earth so that the lost songs of the Bane'ile can be sung again. Who knows? Maybe those ancient songs are needed here too. Those songs contain whole galaxies and worlds and dimensions. Maybe all of our worlds are related. Maybe they're all marbles that are rolling around together in the same sack just waiting for us to take them out and play with them.
Side note: If you have a problem with a lot of maybes, maybe this isn't the place for you.
Maybe all of creation is a collection of songs organized by all the singers of songs coming together. Maybe they want to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony. Could we really do it? Wouldn't that be something? Across all time, space, and dimensions, everyone holding hands and singing together.
When I was a little girl, I always said that I wanted to write and sing songs. Now, here I am: a singer of songs. We are all singers of songs. Ours is a never-ending story. There is no beginning. There is no end. We will never be complete. We are a symphony of songs that somewhere, someday, some little girl will play over and over again until she knows every lyric by heart.
.....the meaning of life is love, the meaning of the universe is infinite creativity and the meaning of everything is to experience the wonder of it all.
