Arms & Armor

This page is to make note of weapons, armor, and other notable tools which are different and unique compared to what the average individual could easily come across. As an example, swords or plated mail wouldn't be found on this page as they are easily understood and known, but the Krilavom is a specialized weapon, only primarily used by a specific minor knight house within Zaveron . Because of how niche these tools are, many have their own unique skill proficiency, listed below the entry itself. Lastly below the proficiency would be the average price of these tools, however, it should be noted, that these tools will only be able to be produced by blacksmiths who know of the exact techniques necessary to make them, as such, no exact location is given for where they are produced, but estimations can be made based on their entries.

Krilavom

Krilavom Proficiency - Physical Power (1.5)
1250 Dreons

Also known as the Winged head sword, this sword is primarily used by the Rustöter knight house within Zaveron. The Krilavom has a sword length that is equivalent to an arming sword, however, the blade itself is wider and thicker by a large margin, making the sword only wieldable as a two handed sword to all but the Rustöter. Alongside its size, it also has a unique tip, that fans out a few inches, before converging, forming a triangular shaped tip, which could almost be used akin to an axe. Lastly, the guard is instead closer to two spikes, akin to the secondary handguard of a Zweihander.

Vateus

Vateus Proficiency - Physical Power (1.25) Dexterity (0.25)

2600 Dreons

A unique shield made for warriors who are specially trained to use it alongside a two handed weapon. The shield is akin to a curved metal kite shield, but lacking a portion of the right side of the shield, alongside any handle or strap. The shield is wielded through small hooks, meant to lock on to an armor's pauldron to keep it in place, as such, it can only really be utilized alongside plated mail. Because of the hooks, moving the shield from its locked position is effectively impossible in the midst of combat. Due to the locked position of the shield, it is incredibly hard to maneuver, and thus easy for an half decent combatant to avoid the shield should they target the wearer. However, against monsters or mindless beasts who don't use tactics in a fight, it can prove as a strong second layer of defense. Compared to most shields which can be used with investments into the blocking skill, the Vateus can only be used with its own proficiency together with the blocking skill, as it takes a degree of experience and finesse to properly use it.

Hagupiero

Hagupiero Proficiency - Vitality 0.5 Physical Power 0.5

1500 Dreons

A shield attached to a reinforced vambrace with a thick spike protruding from the center of the shield measuring 35 cm. This shield was originally built in Vuttera, which is known for its wide array of engineers and inventors, this shield was considered a reliable but simplistic design, so it saw little use within most of Stisedo. However, after a trader had brought a few to Zaveron, the armament found its calling amongst warriors who frequently faced large monsters. This is because the spike was large enough to effectively be a spear, making it effective against monsters who would recklessly charge against their foes. Additionally, unlike a spear which would be prone to breaking not able to receive the sheer force of the monster, the shield is much more durable, and will rarely fail its wielder in the midst of combat. Even if the user were to find themselves in a disadvantageous situation where the spike is stuck in a monster, should they slam a mechanism on the attached vambrace, it will force a release of the spike, freeing the user whilst leaving the spike in their opponent. Due to the stiffness of the attached armor to the shield, users should be aware that they would have less mobility than they would with any usual shield, one of the few downsides to such a armament.

Gordon's Pride

Gordon's Pride Proficiency - Physical power (1) Dexterity (0.25)

A set of gauntlets, originally created through the collaboration of a Zavrisian master alchemist, and a Stisedan alchemist, made in a time now long past where tensions did not exist between the two nations. The most notable feature of the Gordon's Pride is that they are far heavier and thicker than the average gauntlet that comes alongside armor, making the simple act of punching feel akin to swinging a hammer in each hand. Of course, their size comes with the benefit of providing far greater impact and durability against foes. Besides this, there is little known about these gauntlets, as they have been a close kept secret by house Gordon of Zaveron, but some astute observers have noted that they are capable of exploding at times. Unlike most other items on this page, outside of knights from house Gordon, it is impossible to get these gauntlets, as their creation remains a secret, even if reverse engineered it would prove an incredibly difficult task. Lastly, it should be obvious that any who do covet the secret of these gauntlets and steal one, would be hunted down by the Knights of house Gordon.

Rhino Plate

Rhino Plate proficiency - Vitality (2)

25000 Dreons

Said to be originally created by a Soulblade who was a genius not just in the ways of combat, but in blacksmithing as well. The Rhino Plate is the signature armor of the Knights of house Crimen, it is covered with spikes everywhere but the hands, feet, and head, alongside being surprisingly flexible armor for full plate. Furthermore, the armor has a small ridge near the top of the back of the torso plate, when pressed downwards, this will “pop” the armor, causing all the plates to fall off, with the exception of the armor on the hands, feet, and head. Lastly, The helmet is ALWAYS made out of tungsten(or better) and is given a shape to emulate the horn of a rhinoceros. Due to the presence of the spikes, fighting with any weapons in hand will be awkward, as the spikes would occasionally get in the way of certain movements, as such, the most effective way to fight with this armor is unarmed, as it allows the most maneuverability through the spikes.
